Pros

Compensation and Benefits future advancement

Cons

Management in Chicago churn and burn store managers even if the poor performance is not the fault of the store manager. Its all about the numbers. skip level meetings prove to be counterproductive.

Pros

Nice place to learn about all the cool smartphone tricks and games. Goof off and play Angry Birds or whatever when not helping customers.

Cons

Everyone seemed to hate most the customers. The "My phone just broke into a million pieces and it's your fault or "Why can't I get a new phone for free if I dropped this one in my coffee!!? or you messed up my bill" -type people ate up a ton of the salespeople's time. Can't tell you how many times someone in sales would ask me what a customer that just walked in wanted and if it wasn't a new phone they'd sneak back to the back or tell me to call one of the rookies up. Store Mngt is made up of a bunch of first timers who were good at making sales and have little clue how to drive sales or run the store -so they babysit and tell customers off that salespeople can't.

Pros

Great benefits, "some" opportunity for advancement, alright work / life balance as long as you are not in a management position.

Cons

Any promotion above store level management is based on the buddy system. Most District Managers are clueless and know how to talk the talk, but when it comes down to it, they don't care aobut their people.
