Pros

Ability to work with a diverse workforce. Company willing to bring on expereinced tech professionals for contract positions.

Cons

Experienced US ciizens are brought on as contractors but often for the sole purpose of training H1B's. Even if you work your butt off the chances of being hired as a perm employee are very slim. Manager would hold regular staff meetings but did not include contractors. Contractors are treated as second class employees.

Pros

401k match is 6% dollar for dollar. Performance match also goes into 401k and it is max 3% but usually half that. Still very good. Annual bonus, around 10% of your salary.

Cons

Senior employees who have not worked in any other company at all and been there since they started their IT career somehow think they know everything and they are indispensable. Some of them are out of touch with technology and have put themselves into 'cruising' mode. As if they are in a retirement community and noone can take them out. And actually and probably this migth be true for some.
