Pros
Their pay is fairly competitive, and benefits are decent.
Cons
This company is extremely micromanaged. They restructure consistently to 'streamline' and become more 'efficient' but VZW honestly just tries to cut every corner for employees and customers to increase profits and dividend payout for stockholders - bottom line. They will terminate you for almost any insignificant reason, even an employee of 9 years - they won't care. If it saves them money or its more profitable for them somehow, they'll do it, regardless of your track or history with the company. This company always contradicts what they say. They will communicate one thing one month, and contradict it the next. There are millions of memos, failed projects to retail... There's a never ending list of problems the way they internally operate. They will shift employees around ALL the time, and almost always with very short notice. Previously have a 5 min drive to work? We're moving you 35 minutes away now - and I quote: "business needs exceed your personal needs." This is the type of job that is almost like a rollercoaster... Hold-on as long as possible - but, more than likely, you'll end-up terminated... Probably because you were getting paid too much and there are newer lower paid employees that can replace you. Trust me, they'll find a reason to terminate you. This company could REALLY use a union. They'll work you to death.
