Pros

Decent pay--better in comparison to other companies in the telecommunications industry. Great benefits. Good vacation/time-off structure. Can offer a really team/family-oriented environment.

Cons

Be prepared to work a lot of overtime: Verizon can easily take over your life if you let it. Friday morning meetings. As someone had mentioned earlier, even if you close on a Friday, you MUST attend the Friday morning meeting (typically at 7:00 am till 9:00 am). They will transfer you to another store (that's possibly in another city, though within the same district) with little notice. You will face A LOT of customer complaints: People get very passionate over their phones. You will also encounter questionable, shady managers.

The beneifts and compensation packages are very good. Also the ability to advance and move on up is possible with hard and dilligent work.

Cons

Lack of comradrie among workers, the union does not often support the members. The hours can be unforgiving at times.
