Pros

Great benefits, ability to telecommute, competitive salaries

Cons

Constant layoffs to meet capital targets on wall street. Most employees now have survivor's guilt.

Pros

Excellent pay, most wouldn't believe how much you can make. 6% 401k match with 3% yearly bonus potential Excellent Benefits - Blue Cross Blue Shield etc. Same benefits as a government worker Prepaid or reimbursed tuition or both! Tons of employee discounts Paid travel Verizon requires a college degree so your not normally working with morons

Cons

The customers - cell customers are less educated about what they are paying for than most other types of customers. Also helping the elderly with their Android phones and iphones is tedious and frustrating. Extremely competitive - everyone you work with knows your pay and competes to make more Unrealistic sales goals ($80 of accessories sold with each phone, at least a dozen other closely watched metrics Upper management is very out of touch with what actually goes on in the stores. They have unrealistic goals and wonder why they aren't met. No one tells them the truth because you are only allowed to be positive. Upper management has head in the sand syndrome You will work most holidays

Pros

Good HR which made administration quite easy. Brilliant peer group that made work an exciting thing in life. God employee engagement that balanced life. And above average infrastructure that supported business. Totally worthy.

Cons

No work-from-home policy at my time. Very strict confidentiality norms made normal life troublesome. Though compensation is at par with other IT companies, benefits were not absolutely delightful. For example, transport policy was not supportive and that made the commute very difficult. Small things that could change the employee perception. Some accused of regionalism, but to me it was a myth. I aws from different region and never felt a thing.
