Pros

There was a very good, very comprehensive benefits package that was competitive with most large corporations. As good a relocation program as could ever be wanted. Nice coworkers.

Cons

Declining industry. Difficult to imagine large numbers of people coming to the company in the future. There have been large lay-offs in the last few years and they will continue for the foreseeable future.

Pros

Good compensation for sales people and managers. Great benefits package that starts on first day of employment. In general good pay, benefits, and time off (unless in retail).

Cons

Company is constantly looking for ways to improve profitably, sometimes at employees expense. This is done by changing compensation plans to make it more difficult to make money or to reduce the amount of money employees were previously making. Some management is more concerned with making their mark to get the next promotion than with developing their people.
