Pros

Benefits are great! Culture of the stores are different depending on location and managers.

Cons

To move up within company is to become a manger before you can do anything else. Some managers got their position only because they met quota but have no skills in managing a store or people. It's all about the numbers and sales dollars . Commission structure keeps changing to a point that you have to work harder to make it even worth a paycheck. I'm making half of a commission check than I did when I started.

Pros

Great benefits, great amount of PTO, Sick Days, Good co-workers, great customers(most of the time).

Cons

Managers that hold down their employees, I worked my butt off for 4 years trying to get promoted, only to be held down by two separate district managers(who were friends), when asking for advice to get promoted, they would sabatoge your work to make it look bad, then tell you that’s why you won’t get promoted. Meanwhile as an employee you believe to yourself you are not worth moving forward because the managers are too busy grooming those who are on their fantasy football league. Lots of conflict of interests, but they have been so intertwined for the last 20 years with the business that they know how to hide their steps. It was very nerve wrecking. Total career killers.

Pros

At the retail level, it's completely dependent on who is that your store. When I first started, I was at the highest grossing retail location in my region. We wrote Verizon records. So being in the sales environment there was amazing. However, after transferring, I saw that the rest of Rose it is not like that particular store. They used to have a lot of incentives and benefits but they have eliminated all of that now

Cons

Money, management, coworkers, no advancement. When I first started with Verizon I was working at the retail level. I was making a lot of money and was very high on all score cards. However, Verizon has decided they don't want to pay their best sales people anymore. Rather than value and reward the employees that are making them the most money, they would rather make it impossible through commission restructures for us to survive. I'm leaving Verizon knowing that I have been completely taken advantage of and used by this company.
