The job can be rewarding but also stressful at the same time.
Pros
Great pay, great benefits, upward mobility seems fair, no micromanangers (at least in my area)
Cons
Scheduling will vary when you're at the bottom of seniority (expect to work the worst shift and every weekend), you cannot miss any days the first year, you cannot be late (not even a minute, not even if you're ill with a doctors note), you are required to take your whole week of vacation at one time. You will get written up for illness if you do have to take time off. Middle managers (which would be your supervisor) are mostly lazy. Hired during the pandemic and did not feel supported during times of knowing what to do. Had a large chat however most of them were not supportive or unavailable. Some departments are rude when you have to reach out for assistance such as repair statuses, network techs, etc.
