Lots of room for improvement

Pros

At the time the benefits were good. Inexpensive health care, matching 401k (up to 6%), okay vacation time

Cons

Benefits were decreasing left and right (even with record profits). Time off would never get approved even if submitted a year in advance (I couldn't get off for my own wedding even though I had lots of vacation...one of many reason I left), managment treated everybody else as second class and didn't even pretend to care, everytime I was promoted my hours got worse and worse

Pros

For professional staff, the company offers good benefits (including discounts on Verizon services) and competitive salaries, perhaps even above market in some positions.

Cons

I have had seven managers in ten years, and they have been. across the board, the worst managers I have had in my thirty years of professional experience. There are clearly people who are tagged for advancement based solely on politics. Consequently, people who do not play politics well, lack opportunities for advancement.

Pros

There were some good experiences because the rest of my team quit

Cons

The culture here is toxic. You are just a # to the company, and they will not look after you at all. I saw many colleagues with 25+ years tenure who were top performers get RIF'ed without a second glance. Not worth the stress.
