Pros

They do pay well. Good discounts.

Cons

Zero freedom to act. EEs with multiple disciplinary incidents including harassment, racism, theft of time and violent outbursts are never terminated. Peers in the same job title supervise service technicians with no call out requirements. Those supervising splicing technicians are subject to round the clock work with no compensation. This was changed in 2017 with no notification. My check was just short and then came the explanation. A 35 year employee told me he first worked in HR. His first assignment was to sort through applications. The boss told him to toss all the applications that listed public, not parochial schools into the trash. So, when you aren't marked on Ash Wednesday, people notice. Safety and quality are box checking exercises that show no commitment to these ideals

Pros

Verizon is focused not only on its employees and the expansion of its network but on the world as a whole. Verizon attempts to challenge the status quo on some of the world's biggest struggles (I.e global warming, pandemics, systemic racism...), by hosting firside chats with experts, giving an open forum for employees to speak, and then providing time during the workday for employees to volunteer their time to aid groups, fighting these challenges, making a difference beyond the network.

Cons

We need to grow the FiOS network across the full footprint.
