Pros

If you are looking for a job, this one is better than most. They have an open door transparency policy that allows for better communication between all employees regardless of position or pay rate. Their health insurance is decent to a certain extent and so are their other benefits.

Cons

Their in-house interview process for applying to advancing positions and job openings is questionable at best, especially if you are already pegged or marginalized as someone who will not be allowed to advance anywhere in the company. This comes from 12 years of work experience in the company. Their FMLA/Short Term Disability is managed by Sedgwick, which is a complete nightmare to work with in any capacity due to the unrealistic, blanket policies that Verizon endorses. If you have to go out on medical leave, it becomes a mentally, psychologically, and emotionally abusive situation that Verizon turns a blind eye to while using Sedgwick as their irrational and obtuse pitbull.
