Pros

The only pros were being able to work from home and the equipment was provided. The cons outweigh the pros by a land slide.

Cons

They take complete advantage of their employees, work is unbearable with constant angry callers back to back and all you can do is follow the "script" while customers are being ripped off! No work/home balance life at all, salary is insulting, training is an absolute joke and management are an absolute embarrassment. There are plenty of other honest and decent companies out there, don't settle for this disgusting company.

Pros

Birthday cake was good and some of the employees are actually hardworking They're lucky I couldn't give them NO stars as a rating

Cons

Where do I begin? The policy that the company uses to charge their customers is a joke. Try explaining to a customer who went through an electronic toll for 10 cents, why they were then charged a fee of $19.75. As you sit and get verbally abused by customers, who are angered by this policy, you can watch management eating their lunch and watching tv in their glass encased office. Most of management is lazy. They will expect you to take on tasks on top of your primary one, stay late, meanwhile they are playing ping pong, or having a Halloween party (with music) in front of customer service agents who are on the phones, taking calls. Even if you don't work in customer service, you are expected to take phone calls when it's busy...which is all the time because so many customer service agents quit that there are only at max 20 available at a time. There is blatant favoritism in all aspects of the company. They hire family and friends into positions they are not qualified for. They force current employees to write positive reviews on here to drown out the real reviews from former employees or current employees, who have finally had enough of them. Then, they started this "work from home" program which at the start sounded good, but that opens employees up to be asked to work on your days off or weekends. They hired people for that program from out of state and then charged them a deposit against their first several paychecks to pay for the computer they need to do the job. They are extremely fake and overwork the employees, who like me, started off genuinely liking the company and by the end, had checked out. I have never worked at a more miserable place. They add all these bright colors and "perks" like 2 massage chairs but nothing is worth working there.

Thank you for providing your feedback on your time at HTA, one of our core values is to communicate openly, never losing your voice and we encourage that among our folks each and every day. We did want to address some of the points that you raised in the review as there are some elements that are not entirely accurate. The Toll programs we provide enable renters that opt in, to drive through tolls without having to pay cash or find an alternative and often longer route that around cashless tolls - it’s designed to provide a convenient service to expedite travel, hence the convenience fee. These programs are detailed in the rental agreement the customer signs at the time of renting the vehicle and the rental companies set the pricing and parameters around these programs. We appreciate the feedback regarding the interaction of our management with the CS teams – as part of our ongoing improvement efforts, within the past month, we’ve initiated some additional coaching and feedback sessions to help improve the interaction across our CS organization, with an additional aim of improving ongoing training and employee feedback. Our work from home program has proven to be a great success with approximately one third of our CS team now employed in that setting. It allows us to provide a flexible work environment and also offer job opportunities to a wider community. We typically have more than 30 CS agents available to take calls and while we do handle volume spikes by enlisting the help of other departments, this is done to insure that we maintain a high and consistent level of service. We are a company that strongly believes in teamwork and having each other’s backs, whether it be through other departments helping CS, or our CS team assisting other areas of the company as and when it's needed

Pros

They have some very bright, capable and great people working to keep the business going on a day to day basis. Pay and benefits are pretty decent. Work-life balance is good. If you're a developer needing experience, you can spend some time here for some pretty good experience in a dynamic environment.

Cons

Absolutely no strategic planning, implementation, or communication skills. There is a group of middle managers that have been there for a long time that are more concerned about keeping the status quo and looking important than driving the business forward. 'That is the way we've always done it here' is the mantra you'll hear all the time. If you're not one of the 'old timers' , you'l have no input and no voice. There is no professional development. There is no innovation or implementation of new technologies. A lack of standard processes leads to a constant last minute scramble in work priorities and scheduling. They have plenty of managers and directors, but lack leaders. This lack of foresight and leadership can and does lead to occasional layoffs. (Just recently as matter of fact.)
