Benefits Need to Be Better

Pros

Flexible schedule, nice coworkers, great clients

Cons

Lack of a 401k match, you have to “bank” extra productivity to use vacation time so you don’t really get vacation time. All of this while the annual salary is a bit below a typical nurse’s salary. No tuition assistance or maternity leave either. The job itself is disorganized and you’re given zero training. Lack of oversight and management either doesn’t exist or doesn’t care.

Profit over patient care

Pros

Friendly staff and team leads

Cons

This business is only focused on profit. They “care” about their consumers to the extent they care about a meal ticket. Rich Johnson and his executive team take credit for everything that happens there, giving themselves awards every year. They never recognize the staff who actually do all the work. It took years of fighting with management to get a policy for annual pay raises. Psych and behavioral doesn’t care about staff retention. They think staff can work there a couple years to get experience then move on. Frequently changing therapist is detrimental for people’s mental health. The insurance is awful and expensive. There are no other benefits for anyone other than executives. All the money of this business is funneled to the top.

Thank you for your response. We are definitely not solely focused on profit. We need to be good stewards of the money we get because it is not a lot. I don't understand your comment about taking all the credit and getting awards. If you have any specifics to back that comment up I would love to hear them. Thank you
