Pros

Excellent coworkers Somewhat competitive pay, depending on position

Cons

Culture promotes overwork and burnout Lack of job stability Corporate interests and financial gain for executives are the real culture from the top down, while the therapists, health coaches, dietitians, and others attempt to provide quality care as best they can, and clean up the mess

Pros

Exciting and rapidly evolving market space, Inspiring mission and impact on the world, Interesting + complex problems to solve, Great colleagues and good culture, Flexible working arrangements, Experimentation encouraged and not penalized: try, fail, and learn, Leadership has a growth mindset and is open to feedback and evolution, Career opportunities in the form of getting useful experience from stretch projects and stepping up to take more scope. There's so much to do that as long as you have capacity, you can be the one to do it

Cons

Innovating at the cutting edge of healthcare delivery still means navigating the American healthcare system, there are many problems to solve on the path to expanding care access and it's slower than one would like

Pros

They have created a fantastic digital coaching program for people with chronic conditions and hire exceptionally talented and skilled people who are passionate about helping people

Cons

They are growing so fast that there are serious management problems and HR problems. The hiring and training processes are horrendous which are leading to rapid turnover, and the front line managers are overwhelmed and overworked due to lack of adequate support and poor training

Thank you for this comment. You are spot on in your feedback that with our rapid growth we are in the painful growth phase that comes with rapid scale. In the last few months, many of our old processes (that worked when we were small) are breaking now and that can make things difficult. This year we've invested in a tool to centralize and simplify all of our training, hired an entire team to support our providers onboarding and learning, and we’ve begun hosting regular manager training to ensure our managers are supported in their work. There is still much work to be done and we are committed to listening to the feedback to make Vida great not only for its clinical outcomes but for being a great place to work.
