Pros

As part of Danaher, this 4000+ employee organization offers a variety of growth and professional development opportunities for those who seek them out. The culture is a truly global organization that embraces its diversity. Employee engagement varies, but they make a genuine effort to improve on a daily basis. Videojet offers an excellent benefits and PTO package that start on day 1 of hire. The Wood Dale facility offers a free gym and a heavily subsidized cafeteria for employees.

Cons

Videojet is a numbers driven organization that is very focused on results. You may have to stretch further than you thought possible to achieve the goals laid out for you. The organizational structure is also complex and difficult to understand at times.

Pros

There are many useful processes, the company is process based. The experienced sales managers and sales engineers are excellent, knowledgeable and the backbone of the company

Cons

The company is misled by executive management. They are clueless about how to lead and manage a high culture company. The culture is rotting from the inside out, morale is low across the entire company. For three years in a row, they tweaked compensation so I made less. I was warned from former employees but didn't think it was that bad.

Pros

Longevity with job security if you perform to their standards or make yourself irreplaceable. All team members understand the hardships so they understand when you say you simply don't have time.

Cons

Depending on your position in the company you can kiss your personal life good bye. Expect long days and weekend hours spent on projects or numbers. A true example of a company environment when you take a vacation you never get away or if you do expect the following days to be 10-12 hour days. Many departments are understaffed for as many projects and installation that are performed every year, always playing catch-up on project.
