Pros

Pros: Generous PTO. Some colleagues are genuinely kind and helpful. The campus and the surrounding Main Line area are beautiful and feel safe. Tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Cons: The environment is highly political and somewhat cliquish; entry into inner circles can be difficult. Staff reporting to faculty may face significant power imbalances, as contracts are designed to protect faculty. Administrative roles often require wearing many hats with limited growth opportunities, and the culture can feel performative, valuing image over impact. Hierarchical structures and vague policies can make expectations unclear and performance evaluation subjective.
