Frustrating and contradictory

Pros

Pay scale is fair, and city is a good location.

Cons

Diversity of applicants creates huge disparities in preparedness for college. This also makes for difficult class function, and there does not appear to be strong disciplinary support for instructors. Class size and support is poor.

Pros

Very flexible when it comes to student schedules. Dr. Harris is a sweetheart. Learn new leadership skills while working there. The staff is amazing.

Cons

The staff is all women which could be a pro or a con for some people.

Pros

Walkable campus, lots of paid time off, flexible scheduling

Cons

Promotions based on education, not on job performance (meaning low performers who get their next level of education get promoted, before high performers). They have some really terrible people in leadership roles. You can't get a raise if so-and-so who has been there longer doesn't make that much money- even if you out perform or have more responsibilities. Staff treated poorly by professors. Professors are greedy- submit ridiculous claims on their travel forms and it gets processed (if you rock the boat you are considered not "customer service oriented"- meaning you call people out on fraud or you try to implement a process).
