Pros

None really, the young engineers are fresh from school and hard working, still everyone greets by "sir" as if we are stuck in British empire days - you got it no positive to state.

Cons

The title summarizes it all. The owner rules here. HR is of no use. You have to put up face time without any reason. Family doesn't come in the picture. So why even work here? All the negative things written in the different postings are true. So if you are planning on relocating to Roanoke to take a job at VTC please don't commit that mistake. It's a dead end as someone put it to me. Micromanagement, no authority to make any decision, rude owner - asks you to meet at 7 pm - does it sound crazy? Believe it - all these are real. You will see in your offer letter that it will be mentioned that you have to put in long hours and occasionally over weekend. You will travel on your own time, stay in motels and not hotels!!!

Pros

The employees are awesome. The people for the most part are wonderful, friendly, will help if they don't think they will get in trouble.

Cons

High High turnover rate. The turnover rate ranges from 2.5-5 % every month. When the employees call every other Friday - Black Friday you can guarantee that it is bad. When the HR department has gone thru 7 assistants since 2011 - There is a major problem. The longest of those assistants was a year. Hiring is done based on ethnic background, if you get elderly or have done something against the grain, you have written your pink slip within months.

Pros

Small company, hence many different opportunities and projects to work Company does grow no matter whats the economy.

Cons

A Lot! Micromanagement, lack of trust, cheap culture within organization, no flexible time for work (Salaried person), vacation time used for shutdown, importance is given for amount of hours you work not for the quality of work, such a dumb and cheap way to assess one's performance, literally you will be praised more you stay after 5 pm. Employees are taken for granted, no respect for their personal life. fire randomly, yes I mentioned job security in Pros, but it depends case by case Too much work per person, No parking spaces, seriously
