Pros

A company that lives out it values.

Cons

Can be slow moving to make decisions, but that usually is the case with most state agencies.

Pros

The is Agency truly cares for their employees. When COVID, they had a plan to get all employees everything they needed to succeed at home. It was very successful. The majority of employees are happy and are very kind of one another. That says a lot about upper management because everything starts from the top. If there’s stress for the top, it trickles down to the lower levels. If most are happy, you can see it at all levels. The state benefits are great and the work/life balance is great. The offices are nice and safe and secure.

Cons

Depending on your department, upward mobility may be limited. Most managers are great but there are a few I wouldn’t want to work for. That’s dependent on department though.
