Pros

Great work environment. Great to get funded for your Masters. Stipends are reasonable considering low cost of living. Virginia Tech in general is filled with awesome people and great outdoor opportunities for the necessary stress relievers for your masters program

Cons

Like any funded student, you will work hard. Balancing classes and research can become cumbersome. Sometimes, your left feeling burnt out and struggle to close out semester.

Pros

Flexible schedule, good starting pay, raise every semester you work, the work is decently simple and can be fun when you have someone to talk to in your station

Cons

Can get hectic at times, work is often times at a time when you would rather be doing something related to school or having fun
