Pros

The salaries are fair and the benefit packages we're great. Lots of oportunities to grow and there was great experiences when travelling abroad.

Cons

The company was made up of three separate companies. There is only members from one company left. It was as if who ever got the power first, their company won.

Pros

Values its people. You are far more likely to keep your job in the downturns than at an oil company or our major competitors. Suits well motivated self starters with ambition. If you are a someone who likes to cruise forget working here. Good production bonus, up to 20% in a good year for junior staff, up to 30% for supervisor level and over.

Cons

Industry is cyclical Basic Salary is lower than an oil company but bonus tends to make it up to better than than equivalent oil company salary. Oil company bonus schemes are very poor.

Pros

Fairly good social scene in Crawley office, good work/life balance. The experience I had was that it didn't really matter whether you tried hard or not, your promotions are pretty much decided purely on how much time you've spent at the company and not whether you are any good at the job or not. (2 years for Project, 4/5 years for Senior). This is good if you just want a steady job where you can breeze through each day.

Cons

Senior management for group I was in was absolutely abysmal (too busy managing upwards), no career prospects whatsoever. In all honesty, I could have put in half as much effort as I did and would still have achieved the same career path. There is a lack of openness from the highest level downwards which often leads to a rampant rumour mill.
