Pros

It’s better to let these places cater to con artists too. That said, we have great colleagues and friendships here.

Cons

Too much internal politics, weak leadership, and a culture where people demand things without real direction. There was also a lot of overpromising to clients without a clear or honest plan to deliver.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your overall experience did not meet your expectations. Leadership, clear communication, and employee recognition are all important to us. Over the past year, we have introduced several leadership development programmes designed to strengthen leadership capabilities, support our managers, and help create a more consistent experience for our teams. We wish you all the best in your future career. Viridien Team

Pros

- Great first job for graduates looking to build experience. - Low-cost canteen food available on site. - Hybrid working model offers flexibility. - Good employee benefits, such as private healthcare, holiday buy/sell schemes, bonuses, and opportunities to work abroad.

Cons

- Senior leadership can be quite toxic at times, with a fear-driven culture and a very top-down approach. Some teams seem to spend most of their time in survival mode. - Career progression and pay can stagnate once you have a few years of experience. Promotion criteria are often unclear, and your experience depends heavily on the team you're in—some are overloaded with work, while others are much quieter but don't get much visibility or meaningful work. - Lack of transparency from management, and communication from managers can be poor. - Being a PM or SME is generally much easier than being an individual contributor, where the workload and pressure can be significantly higher. - Performance reviews often feel subjective and can depend more on who your manager is than on clear, consistent criteria.

Pros

The people overall are true to the company values, so open, keen to share, willing to go the extra mile for colleagues and clients and professional. It’s also quite unique in terms of the technical work which is very physics-based with lots of signal processing, and you can get a real sense of achievement because your work does have direct real world impact. If you are someone who enjoys learning and thrives on being active and having multiple things on the go, then you will enjoy the mix of long-term and short-term project work and variety of things to do and learn. On-site canteen, car park and bike shed. Private medical and dental.

Cons

There is a huge amount to learn which can be a little overwhelming to start with. Also this is not a job if you want to be comfortable! Although innovation is incentivised, project deadlines and the day to day means it can be difficult to find the time to be a bit creative if its not directly impacted on your project. The work is mainly oil and gas although the company is trying to diversify.
