From a macro viewpoint, the best reason to work at Visa is the opportunity to displace cash and be apart of the democratization of credit on a global basis.
Cons
Compared to other industries and/or companies, Visa at least has opportunities and a strong brand name that global customers recognize. Unfortunately, Visa’s Senior Management fumbles away these numerous advantages via a lack of leadership. In the past, Visa coasted by via the displacement of cash and the democratization of credit in the US. In the current financial crisis, their momentum is on the rocks. Though Visa’s Senior Management knows how to manage in an up market, they have no idea how to manage themselves in a down market. This is where you earn your bones and Senior Management does not measure up.
