      Pros

      I rarely write reviews. However looking at some of the recent negative reviews, I decided to pitch in. I have been working full-time for VIP for over 6 years and have found it to be a rewarding and fulfilling employer. I have over 18 yrs of IT consulting background including many years at $1Bil+ revenue companies so definitely have a point of reference. I think the work culture in the company is highly entrepreneurial and rewards initiative by an individual. I believe most of the complainers posting negative reviews are folks that were fired for non-performance.

      Cons

      Difficult to maintain work life balance if you are looking to grow quickly. However, I do not know of any place that provides for that.

      Pros

      VIP is an amazing place to foster your career in technology. Whether you are entry-level or have been around technology for many years, VIP can be a great fit. There is indeed a sales-driven culture, at least in the departments I interface with, but also a culture of community and outreach. I'm proud that VIP often sponsors local events for non-profits as well as awarding our own Women in Technology Scholarship yearly. The company has given me a chance to grow and I have seen others promoted as well throughout my 3 year career here at VIP.

      Cons

      We are a large company with various business segments so it can be challenging keeping up with what other units are doing.

      Above average salary and benefits package upon inception (if negotiated) Direct Supervisors are supportive

      Cons

      No salary growth or bonuses No support and no growth opportunities Body shop/Revolving door Disconnect between upper management and what is actually taking place in the trenches Awful customer service from third-party benefits provider
