Pros

- Very invested leadership. Everyone in a position of power at the organization is incredibly interested in steering the organization towards success and stewarding development opportunities for more junior team members. - Culture of excellence. It's immediately clear where the bar is at in terms of work quality. While the expectation is not that you immediately contribute, you are given incredible resources to ensure you get there quickly. - Reputation. Everyone knows who Vista is and that reputation precedes your external interactions. It opens doors that might otherwise be closed and can smooth what might be turbulent water for others. - Opportunity. You are given a lot of chances to contribute early and often. Vista really embodies the "fresh perspectives" ideology and welcomes new people with new opinions. At the end of the day, success is the only metric that matters; what doesn't matter is how you get there (as long as it's compliant and doesn't break any rules). - Quality workforce. I enjoy most everyone I work with at Vista. There is an expectation to work hard, yes, but there is a level of respect and camaraderie firm-wide that comes with that reality as well. - Competitive. Everyone wants to do well there and there is a healthy amount of positive competition as a result. People on teams push each other to go harder in the best way possible.

Cons

- Long hours. Because you are surrounded by equally intelligent and hard-working people, expect to work a lot if you want to get ahead. - Gatekeeping/transparency. Because it is so competitive internally there is a tendency to gate keep information on occasion. If you don't 'need-to-know' then you might not find out.
