There are some brilliant people here. Slightly above average benefits.

Cons

If your role is on the Value Creation Team - RUN! You will be a second citizen and will be subjected to some of the nastiest politics, cliquish behavior, and in an organization in disarray. If you’re coming from tech/consulting/ - it’s a step back. If you’re coming from IB and interested in PE, there’s obvious appeal. They also fully embrace the “house flipper” trope. If it’s rewarding for you to help layoff thousands and perpetuate inequity - then have a blast!

Cons

Awful deal teams, micromanage, badmouth you when you leave. They acquire crappy business and bolt them together without integrating them and then blame management for not cleaning up the mess they made. They get cheap on everything and then are confused when they don’t get champagne out of the broken beer bottle.
