Will hire you even without a degree if your experience is relevant

Cons

Abusive culture with low pay, almost non-existent benefits and zero appreciation for the people that work on the "front lines", i.e. in the hotels vs. in the corporate offices. The other negative reviews are spot-on - there is absolutely no respect shown for people outside of the corp. office. They will work you as many hours as they can squeeze out of you for as little pay as is legal. No sick days are offered, and they will dock the pay of salaried employees who are out sick, even if they work additional hours that week to make up the time. I can't imagine this company will EVER hire any new employees if they don't get with the times. I would strongly encourage anyone considering working at a Vista Host hotel to run the other way, quickly!

If you are willing to put in the work, this company will will invest in your success. You must be strong, vocal and again willing to put in the work. Nothing is handed to you woth this company, they require you to do your job and reward you when you do. They genuinely care about you, your family and want to know your dreams.

Cons

Could pay more in line to the market that you work in vs a general blanket. This has improved over the last 2 years, but still needs more attention.

Pros

The people you get to work with. The structure they have in place truly helps you learn, grow, and mature in many ways. The pay and benefits are very competitive, their bonus structure is unlike any I have ever seen before.

Cons

The training is not always the most efficient, but there are plenty of resources at your disposal to get you the answers you are looking for. The Area GM's they have in place are truly out of this world, the support they provide helps you feel more confident each day.
