Pros

Great ability to move up in positions along with amazing people. The more you ask the more you will learn.

Cons

The company needs more work/life balance. Sometimes it feels like you are the only person putting in very long hours.

Pros

I wokred at Vistar as a Truck Loader for about a year and first off the pay was great. 15.35 an hour and a lot of overtime. I worked between 60-70 hours a week. It was an overnight position from 3 pm-1am but we usually did not finish until about 3 or 4am on average nights. I will add that we were under staffed at the time and the turn over rate is high here. The work for a truck loader was not very physically straining just long hours. If you are an order selector the work is more vigorous but nothing compared to the Publix warehouse. Most people work at a walking pace and hit their numbers. Great benefits as well.

Cons

The main complaint I have is that sometimes they will short you on your paycheck so keep track of your hours. We only got a 30 min lunch and two 10 min breaks. Some days I worked 16-17 hours and obviously with such a small break it will wear on your body overtime. My advice would be to come here work hard and get your money while saving and try to get ahead on bills or use the money to start a business. Not a job I would want to work for 5-10 years.

Pros

Helping customers grow their business

Cons

Payment structure is constantly changing, negatively affecting the best performers. Micromanagement at every level which impedes work getting done in an efficient manner. Does not value their sales team and does not include sales in decision making processes.
