Pros

Goal oriented, thoughtful processes around the entire organization from what I have seen so far. The managers in each division truly believe in empowerment across each team. The culture is something that is actually practiced, not just hollow preaching like you hear about at some other places I have worked. The mission is truly what is important on a daily basis.

Cons

I do not have significant cons at this point. I think the only real issue I have come across is getting others to understand the company is in this for the long game and passionate about doing things the right way, for everyone involved.

Thank you for your perspective! In the past year and a half, we've rolled out a new goal setting philosophy and process to better support our fast-growing organization and to help crew know where to focus their energy and support business objectives and our mission. We think OKRs provide more transparency to all crew, while empowering our folks to make better decisions faster. We know our stakeholder model and commitment to Conscious Capitalism is unique in our industry, but we know it's the right way to do business and create long-term success for Vital Farms and our stakeholders. We're happy to be disrupting the food industry one carton at a time.

Pros

The best reasons to work at Vital Farms are your colleagues, the mission, and feedback from customers, friends, and family when they try (and love) the product. Vital Farms has also put a lot of resources behind making sure its employees are cared for during this year when many have worked from home.

Cons

The hardest part about working at Vital Farms is the growing pains. Trying to build and refine systems/processes while keeping up with tremendous growth can be challenging at times. I'm confident this will improve over time.
