      Pros

      Company has seen tremendous growth and yet still retains the original mission. Very values oriented. Great products, brand and ways of working (stakeholder model) to be proud of.

      Cons

      Growing pains moving from very small local business to current size. Some things evolve and not everyone wants or enjoys the changes. Additional changes needed since it's a public company now.

      Company is growing fast so there are lots of opportunities to contribute Company provides regular communication, listen to and consider new ideas, and continually encourage growth, both personally and professionally You get to work with really smart and collaborative people We are on a mission to improve the lives of people, animals, and planet through food Culture is conducive to creating friends and mentors with lots of opportunities to get involved based on your interests

      Cons

      No company is perfect. While we are growing there are things that evolve and are necessary to support sustainable growth, in order to be built to last. Sometimes change can feel disruptive, but it is important to not get hung up on what's wrong, but to focus on what that is happening is right and the progress in actions (not just words) that support that. With this growth is an opportunity to define the future and the role you play in it. That ownership mentality is rewarded at Vital Farms.

      Pros

      I joined 5 months ago and have honestly enjoyed every minute! The culture, the people, the mission all motivate me everyday. It's very rare when diverse perspectives are appreciated and the entire organization is committed to fulfilling our mission of bringing sustainable, ethically raised food to every table in the country.

      Cons

      We're growing faster than some systems can accommodate. I genuinely believe this is a growing pain and senior leadership is moving as fast as possible to improve technology, add resources to address the challenge.

      We love having you here! We get to better answers by sitting at the same side of the table and by listening to diverse perspectives. We appreciate your dedication to our work and bringing even more ethically produced food to tables around the US! We're humbled to be growing as quickly as we are, but that means our ways of working need to change to accommodate the shift. We've implemented new tools as a direct result of crew feedback (Hello, Microsoft Teams!) and shaped our return to the office plan, too (Did someone say renovate the office into a co-working space?). We know that we're in this together, so keep the feedback coming!
