Pros
At Home Healthcare, the provider services branch of Vital Caring, is an exceptional place to work. From the very first day I arrived, I felt welcomed and accepted. Teamwork is a vital part of our day to day here in the office. Where one person may fall short or be out, another team member is there to help out. I truly enjoy the atmosphere here. I do not feel like I am micromanaged or overused. Days can get busy and stressful here just like any other workplace, but with the coworkers I have, I know I have help when I need it. We have an exceptional PTO accrual system and PTO is encouraged here. Our upper management understands that we as employees have a life outside of work and never make me feel like I have to choose between the two when something arises. My duties here fulfill me in a way I haven't felt from any other jobs I have worked. I can come to work knowing that I am going to make a difference in someone's life by the way I interact with them. As a program coordinator, I do not see the clients face to face, but I do know that the way I speak with them and advocate for them makes all the difference. There have been other jobs where I have dreaded going in, but At Home Healthcare isn't one of them. Each day brings on a new challenge and some unknowns, but questions are readily answered and never ridiculed. In conclusion, if you are looking for a fulfilling, family oriented, welcoming environment and workspace, please apply and see for yourself.
Cons
Although our PTO accrual system is very nice, we do use our own PTO for holidays. Things do tend to change here pretty often, so if you aren't able to acclimate to an ever-evolving workload, then we may not be for you.
