Pros

An excellent environment for collaborating with medical providers during patient encounters, especially valuable for individuals pursuing a career in healthcare.

Cons

Compensation is relatively low, and there are occasional requests from nursing staff to perform tasks outside the typical scribe role.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for being with us for more than three years—that’s incredible! We’re so glad to hear that working alongside providers in the ER has given you valuable exposure and collaboration opportunities, especially as you pursue your career in healthcare. That type of hands-on learning is exactly what we hope to provide our team members. We also appreciate your honest feedback about compensation and occasional role overlap. While our focus is on keeping the scribe role centered on documentation and provider support, we recognize that at times you may be asked for assistance outside those duties. We’re continuing to provide education and communication to clinical teams to ensure scribes stay focused on their core responsibilities. Regarding pay, we review compensation regularly to remain competitive while keeping training and growth opportunities strong. Thank you again for your dedication and contributions—we’re grateful to have you on the team! —The Vituity Team

Thanks so much for the 5-star review and for calling out the value for pre-med, pre-PA, and pre-nursing students! We’re glad the paid training, flexible scheduling, and clinical exposure are working well for you. We also hear you on the travel. Because we support multiple clinics, some assignments can be farther from home. We’re continually improving how we schedule to reduce commute time—prioritizing closer sites when possible, clustering shifts at the same location, and honoring home-base preferences. If you haven’t already, I would suggest speaking with your manager about any travel constraints. Thanks again for the feedback and for the great care you provide to our teams and patients. We’re grateful you’re here. —The Vituity Team
