Pros

modern company, fun out-going events and cuture

Cons

managers do not train, very little to no patience, employees are very fake and this whole experience feels very similar to a high school or college setting. You have to conform to how everyone acts here or else you'll be seen as an outcast and most likely will be replaced.

MedAmerica: Don't believe the hype...

Pros

Great people (individual contributors) are the core of this little company. The great pay and benefits. Excellent technology. Excellent 401K plan.

Cons

For such a small company with such a flat management structure, it was disappointing to see how much of a disconnect there was between the average employee and the physician-owners. It was pretty clear the physician-owners are driven solely by the bottom line, and they will ignore the needs of their business units that keep the company afloat. Middle management across the organization leaves a lot to be desired. This is a company run by kids in suits. A few choice words about MedAmerica's culture: It's not for everyone. 98% of the company seems to be under age 35. And the messed up part about this reality is that it seems they curate this dynamic and age gap between the average employee and the "other" 2% (read: executive staff). They really try to drive home the fact that they are one of the Bay Area's "Best Places to Work," but sadly, it seems like they attain that title by creating a "one-size-fits-all" culture. And if you don't fit that narrow mold, they fire you. This is certainly not the place to "be yourself."
