      Pros

      -Got to see first hand how healthcare actually works from the inside, just the logistics of everything -got to observe SO MUCH that I had never seen before by just shadowing -really got to see what it is like to be a provider in emergency medicine-- you follow them their whole shift so see what it is really like -got to learn so much new medical terminology and apply what I was learning in anatomy/physiology -flexible and easy scheduling, especially for students. At some points I was only working the bare minimum number of shifts a month (4) due to being swamped at school and my leads were very understanding. Most of us were either current students or new grads. -paid training

      Cons

      -this is more so for emergency medicine, and not necessarily Vituity-- the hours at the ED are pretty terrible. It made me realize that although I found it interesting, I never wanted to go into emergency due to the lifestyle of it. A lot of long nights. -Speaking of lifestyle, it was either completely dead or very fast paced. At my location, usually the latter. I was so nervous going into each shift for like the first 6 months of working there, just because I never knew what the shift would be like that day. Got to be really good at working quickly and efficiently under pressure.
