I cannot speak highly enough of the people working in the social services division and the direct service providers at this organization. Many people here have great compassion for the people they serve and for one another. We have been able to do so much good and reach so many in need with the plethora of resources and services we have at our disposal. Supervisors and director in this division are supportive and protective of our teams and work well together on shared goals. Work / life balance is prioritized as well as debriefing / processing to make the work we do sustainable.

Cons

I am extremely hopeful for the future of this organization after they have openly addressed some issues with higher ups. I am looking forward to seeing more policy that mirrors how valued employees are and have been excited to see some wonderful benefits added that I have not had in my many years working for other wonderful Milwaukee nonprofits and local government. While I am still seeking to understand why this service based organization is so top heavy, there have been many occasions where feedback is sought out formally and that has been a solid first step for an impressive amount of agile change in a large organization.
