Pros

Great benefits, great PTO, competitive pay

Cons

Unfortunately when you work your butt off, you are rewarded with more work to pick up the slack for the constant org changes and qualified colleagues leaving the organization. It doesn’t matter how much you accomplish, the organization is constantly changing and goals become unachievable due to the lack of stability and bonuses are based on meeting company goals. Now instead of having part of our bonus based on individual contributions…the best we can hope for is that we might get an “award” bonus but I have the beeping once the company goes through the final “calibration”, most of us won’t get anything extra despite trying to compensate for poor policies, poor executive decision making and being overworked. Oh and by the way, if you are a remote employee, all career growth was stripped away with Byron’s mandate to be a “hybrid” company.

Detoriating Culture and Values

Pros

Good PTO package, as well as maternal/paternal leave. Frontline staff are helpful.

Cons

Vizient’s culture has changed for the worse over time. What was once an open-minded welcoming environment has become a top down environment. Recent policy changes regarding internal transfers is point blank against career development for virtual staff. You’d have to relocate if you’re looking to change roles, no relocation funds, no guidance on exceptions. Senior executives and HR are dodging the hard questions, and implemented processes that suppresses honest conversations and feedback. It seems like every other year there’s a change in direction (understandable as market shifts) but it lacks the backbone, and internal and external clients are noticing. There are leaders in D&D who are strong in their domains but lack product and data sense, which causes stagnation in product growth and results in reactive, execution-only roadmaps instead of a clear, outcomes-driven strategy. This gap shows up in misaligned priorities, limited experimentation, and missed opportunities to translate insights into differentiated, scalable solutions.

Pros

At the moment; there are no pros.

Cons

No growth opportunities unless you are well connected; poor leadership; no strategy; they try to fix issues by laying of employess who are executing on the poor strategy. N accountability for leadership poor decisions; Very wasteful in the kind of investment decions they make and most solutions that they have spent millions working on make it to prod or provides the value it was developed for. Overall unless you are well connected; you can forget abut any mobility; regardless of how talented you are.
