the problems i worked on are very interesting and challenging, i feel i am learning a lot and meanwhile making impacts with my work. colleagues are very smart and helpful, i gained a lot from inspiring discussions. location is also an advantage, especially for ppl who want to work in finance and stay in west coast.

Cons

nothing so far, the lunch menu should change more frequently

Pros

One of the biggest factors that sticks out to me is the great culture throughout Voleon. We do work very hard, but our work life balance is something we take very seriously. As a single parent who lives a bit far from Berkeley, the team has overall supported my schedule and has made my onboarding process fantastic. There's that wonderful quote of "if you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room." I believe everyone of us at Voleon feels that way working with all of our colleagues and since my start here, I have learned so much and I know I will continue to expand my knowledge of machine learning and the business exponentially.
