Pros

The amount of pros here are canceled out by the Cons. If it was a stable job/work environment, then those perks would be great. Otherwise they are worth nothing but filler.

Cons

Not sure I can share anything more than the recent reviews have already said here, but this one is going down for the count. If you have any brain cells and you currently are still working here, then get out ASAP. The rest of you considering to take a job here, look at all these recent reviews and experiences and truth being spoken. If you even give it a second thought that you might want to come work here, check yourself into the nearest mental facility - fast . This place has nothing to offer you and the people that are there just want out. What kind of work environment is that? Also the definition of transparency: honest and open : not secretive. I thought I'd leave that there for you because everyone can see right through your B.S.!

Volusion Response

Thank you for the feedback. Our founder has taken back the helm this year and has been actively endeavoring to turn the ship around by refocusing on the improvement of our core product. Ultimately, we have increased our focus in the SMB space by investing more dollars to create more demand for Volusion. Because of the shift to focus on our core product, there were some necessary changes such as the sale of the Mozu platform. In regard to transparency, we have made strides in helping employees understand our course by sharing our product roadmap and scheduling companywide meetings on a more regular basis. Our main goal is to make Volusion a better product and a better place to work and we believe our latest roadmap will lead us there.

PSA: Don't Work Here

Pros

Let me emphasize that the pros were the only thing keeping me around and preventing me from being completely miserable at this job. - Unlimited PTO - Flexible WFH Policy (although, I hear this is being re-evaluated)

Cons

Where do I start? Ever since new leadership took over last December, this company has been on a rapid downward spiral. - Leadership has no vision, poor communication and business sense, and refuses to take ownership of their contributions to problems - Low morale; People are laid off every few months in droves, causing people to be fearful of losing their job everyday - Favoritism: People are favored for how well they "brown-nose" instead of their abilities - Weak Leadership: This causes the political game to run rampant, and contributes to a poor work environment - Repeating the Same Mistakes (Just launched Admin Re-skin without ANY user testing - what a disaster! - we made the same mistake in 2013 when we launched the REDACTOR) - and the list goes on and on....

Pros

Great coffee. A few of my coworkers became friends and allies, and working hours rarely went past 40 per week.

Cons

There's not much to share but what's already been said. Highly political and dysfunctional environment -- I don't mean a typical "protect the territory" vibe, but much worse. Senior management has no clue, and the place is rife with favoritism. Depending on the position you're looking at, you can count on being underpaid. Austin is a buyer's market when it comes to tech jobs, so pass on this company for an offer and working environment you can appreciate. The brand(s) is a mess as is the legacy software.
