Scary. Stay away.

Pros

Many of the perks are standard now across the industry and the city. Nothing to write home about.

Cons

Morale. It's awful. People are afraid for their jobs and are fleeing the Titanic. Transparency. They need to look up the definition. Favoritism. Lots of teachers pets. Inconsistent "perks". Some employees are full time remote but local employees do not have a work from home policy. Office looks like a ghost town most days. Those are the teachers pets (or more "important" departments) that have more opportunities to gain work/life balance or to just not show up with no consequence. Those of us expected to show up to the office every day don't really know. Management. Inappropriate and unprofessional finger pointing. Deflecting their own responsibility and accountability. Does not make employees feel secure.

No vision and a terrible product

Pros

Depending on your department, there can be great people. I learned valuable lessons in managing upward and resourcefulness.

Cons

It is a master course in how incompetent men can rise to top positions in tech purely due to ego, overconfidence, and manipulation. Then they surround themselves with yes-men and expensive consultants.

Pros

If you are a young person who thinks the rotting fruit of late-stage capitalism tastes just fine, Volusion provides a great opportunity to design for, code for, upsell to, or lend phone support to that ever-dwindling segment of people who want their own website to sell jewelry for dogs and are not aware that Amazon exists. The HR crew are genuinely good at what they do.

Cons

Downsides include sudden layoffs, unstable codebase freakouts, unstable coworker freakouts, dog Fridays (if you have an allergy to poorly socialized large dogs and/or their dander), and mandatory meetings that can't start until someone figures out the projector. Also, the child-king has a weird thing about Elon Musk.
