Career opportunities

Pros

Volvo offers relatively secure job opportunities. Its culture is changing but is still respectful and open in most cases. And the flexible system (if you are not working in shifts) is excellent to keep work/ private life in balance.

Cons

Career opportunities are limited. The Ghent site has become increasingly operational. Furthermore, salaries barely increase, bonuses are seldom paid and the structure is rigid. Especially office workers are little encouraged to walk the extra mile and industrial workers find it very hard to change their position (and climb the ladder, e.g.).
