Pros

Good for starting careers, for youngsters who need to learn a lot. If you are a mediocre person, you probably can stay there for ever.

Cons

Lots of politics, company exists for happy few at the top. Decisions are taken in favor of those happy few and are therefore opportunistic. Changing their mind all the time. No long term visions synchronized with strategy and company culture. They don't like people who take ownership and accountability. If you are a conscious person, stay away from them!

A changing company

Pros

Grace has long had high quality products and leading positions in its markets. There are many smart, experienced people. I have learned a lot working here.

Cons

The company is changing and is no longer a great place to work. Many of the company's products are being commoditized and the company is responding by cutting costs and reducing new product development. Many top employees have left as growth opportunities have been elimimated. Cost cuts were understandable during the recession, but not now. The lack of growth creates office politics, as people compete for fewer positions. Several top execs are married to each other, which can cause employees to avoid debate and has certainly harmed some employees' careers.
