      Pros

      Worked there for more than 10 years. First several years it was great. It was a challenging environment, and you worked almost a grade higher than your position, so there was a lot of learning available. When the new CEO came in, every day was a new fire drill, and confusion was the order of the day.

      Cons

      Lack of a clear direction. Everyday is a fire drill of a new "laser-like focus." Generally there were 100+ laser like focuses per year - at least two per week. Its funny now, but then it was miserable. Just general confusion around what managers in my lever were supposed to be working towards. I moved to another company in the industry, and found the culture, pay, benefits, and quality of life to be much better.

      Pros

      Salary is excellent - tough to match in Pittsburgh; Marketing team is great; and the location (Station Square) is pretty convenient.

      Cons

      Leadership is all over the place. Some know what they're doing, but most dont. Benefits are high. Not truly "marketing" at WESCO - hands are tied because the compnay relies almost 100% on suppliers to fund programs instead of investing in marketing that makes sense and drive business. It's a shame but the 3 Directors are on diffrent pages and some contribute very little (except when it comes to roadblocks).

      Pros

      Company offers good benefits and PTO options with holidays. Training is available if you ask for it, they will send you to training at manufacturers or you can get tuition reimbursement if you are taking classes related to work.

      Cons

      Since it is a larger company, sometimes it takes longer for things to get approved or changed. Order entry / quoting software is archaic. Sometimes other people or departments determine what you have to sell product for.
