Pros

I left Wright Express 2 years ago and looking back I can't think of a single pro in working at this company.

Cons

Hostile, non productive work environment. Management at all levels lacks any core values & basic human morals. HR turns a blind eye to the daily harassment & work place bullying. Very high turnover rate in outside sales. If you're considering working for this company, re-consider. It's not worth it.

Pros

Laid back, many different positions and interests. Good location in South Portland, and highly profitable company with employees who have a lot of experience.

Cons

Not very structured intern program. Not much else bad about this company, it's not one that comes to mind for a to be financial services intern.

Pros

There are 'some' great people/ mangers at WEX. The development team is good at what they do, if you happen to work in Hammersmith office, you'll come across one of the best managers I have found to date. (Considering he hasn't left yet).

Cons

Where do I start with WEX, I have never come across a company where the people in the company are so self involved, self serving and extremely petty. They had found out I had posted an initial negative review and was ordered to take it down, as it was giving them a bad image. However, I shall keep this one up no matter what they say. During my time at WEX there were waves of people leaving the company (mostly folks from the Hammersmith office), they put this to the company growing and restructuring. However, that was simply not the case, most of those that left especially the Hammersmith office was because they were unhappy, under-appreciated, treated like a (metaphorical) modern day slave. We're not really updated on who leaves the wider company or who joins us, it's like a game of Russian roulette, trying to guess the new person on the other end of the line. This was especially disruptive when it came to delivering requirements as you didn't know whether the people you were working with were still going to be there in the next 2 weeks or so. Senior project managers have no clue as to what they want, they don't listen to people who have expert knowledge in their field, instead they are put down and told 'they don't know the user'. This happened to me on multiple occasions, and it wasn't a freak occurrence. Culture does not exist at WEX, at all. You're there as a worker drone, and once the clock strikes 6. You're let free, however if you're in finance that's not the case, you'll be working until 9pm/10pm. Even though you're contracted hours are until 6. Overtime? forgot about it. Furthermore, personal hygiene is a huge issue in WEX, especially in development where it involves working with people in a close proximity, at one point I was about to faint due to the off-putting body odour of one my ex-colleagues. In conclusion, working for WEX is like Donald Trump banning Muslims or calling Mexicans 'rapists' and 'killers' - absolutely pointless. So please, if you take anything from this review, please tread carefully when applying to work for WEX.
