Micromanaging and it’s finest

Pros

The TM’s and the agents are great to work with and easy to get along. Working from home is also nice.

Cons

They are constantly changing their policies and the new higher up management is really micromanaging everything we do. So, if you like breathing room, this isn’t the job for you. They also do not cover any home office fees for working from home. Personally, my electric bill has gone up significantly since working from home. Pay is also low compared to other companies. If you want to move up in the company and get out of the MSR world, you will have to move to Boston and go in office. There is also the fear of being fired at any moment with no notice.

Pros

The team environment is excellent. Communication from management is excellent. The company really lives up to its beliefs of unlocking human performance by providing employees with amazing perks.

Cons

The company preaches: Moving at an uncomfortable pace. This leads to a lot of changes very quickly without really sorting out kinks and expecting employees to deal with it even though it interrupts a lot of workflows. They literally switched the software used to communicate with customers 4 different times. At one point, we switched the software and were only on it for a month before switching again. Work-life balance was hard when working Wed-Saturday from 9am-8pm. I was fine with it because I thought it would switch after 6 months as promised but then it was the same for a whole year. This was due to all the software changes they made.

Pros

- New Office - Competitive Salaries and benefits.

Cons

- No Clear direction from management - Product features are launched without involvement from Analytics and DS - Zero Diversity - No culture - Most people have never worked outside of Whoop - The product is useful only if you are an athlete or if your life revolves around your fitness. For the average person, it's not that useful, and very expensive.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences during your time at WHOOP. We value feedback from current and former team members as it helps us identify areas where we can improve and create a better working environment for everyone. We are glad you appreciated some of the positive aspects of working here, such as our new office, competitive salaries, and benefits. Creating a comfortable and attractive workspace and environment is essential for fostering a productive atmosphere, and we continuously strive to offer competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent. This year, we established company-wide and departmental OKRs, a “WHOOP Map” to guide product features and technical advancements, and a long-term strategic vision. To that end, we have to respectfully disagree that there is no clear direction from management or that features are launched without cross-functional input, as the above initiatives were all created and fully imagined as a cross-functional, company-wide effort. Regarding your feedback about diversity, while we again respectfully disagree that there is “zero diversity” at WHOOP, we do acknowledge that there is always room to improve our DE&I strategy and initiatives - and this is a significant priority for the company as we understand that a diverse and inclusive workplace is crucial for fostering creativity, innovation, and overall employee satisfaction. We appreciate your candid feedback and would like to extend an invitation to discuss your concerns further in person if you are open to it. Please feel free to contact us at people@whoop.com to arrange a meeting.
