Pros

Working in the wellness technology space is relatable and interesting.

Cons

Read the negative reviews from other people - they are true. Something that is not included in some of those comments is the lack of transparency from leadership and a bit of a toxic environment. The company does not share the financials whatsoever. We get a weekly slack update on some unit economics but have no idea how healthy the entire business is. Then, surprise layoffs! The lack of collaboration from cross functional teams and the tolerance for it is astounding. Some teams here need support from other partners and those teams refuse to help with no good reason. A phrase that is heard often is "That's out of scope for me" even if they are the only ones that potentially could help and just leave others drowning. For a company who helps Athletes and Teams there sure a lot of folks here who don't seem to know what a team is.

Pros

- product and app has a ton of potential - really smart, dedicated, talented co-workers - mission-driven brand and company -

Cons

- top-down culture disempowers mid- and lower-level employees - toxic boys club seems to permeate leadership - inconsistent WFH policies are an excuse for favoritism - gut intuition and leadership ego drive decision making instead of consumer research or data - middle managers and junior employees are held accountable for leadership decisions and held to unreasonable or unmeasurable goals - low pay and cold, disorganized HR team - product/feature development velocity is incredibly slow for an innovative tech company - culture of putting down competitors instead of learning from them - constantly changing timelines, budgets, targets, etc with very poor communication from leadership

Pros

- Really cool product. I will be a customer even after I leave the company - Cool perks - People are helpful and work hard

Cons

- Poor executive leadership, mostly at C-level. Many leaders don't seek feedback or check in with employees are doing - Trying to do too much at once. Rather than focus wholeheartedly on a few things, we try to do too many things at once and half bake them. Everything is always urgent and priorities are constantly changing. - Really unrealistic expectations at times regarding work life balance. Some orgs routinely work 70+ hour weeks and weekends/holidays. Most people are burnt out. - Being a visionary is important to continue the growth of the company, but execution is just as important at this point in the businesses lifecycle. It feels like that sometimes gets lost amongst leadership.

Thank you for the feedback. We recognize that our environment is very fast-paced and shifting priorities can be frustrating at times; and, this was a big driver in creating and sharing our 2022 KPIs. We are hopeful that clearly articulating and sharing these with the entire team, will allow everyone to truly focus and execute. As for work-life balance, we certainly do not expect anyone to work 70+ hours a week, and we’re concerned if this is a routine practice for you (or anyone else). If you feel comfortable doing so, we would encourage you to come to HR so we can work with you and your manager to realign expectations.
