Pay--Better than the average plant operator in Virginia with plenty of overtime Safety culture--They are all about minimizing injuries

Cons

Job security--be prepared to be fired for doing your job as directed by your supervisor and trained by your co-workers Safety Culture--Only applies to workers, not management. Also, all injuries are your fault. Work/Life Balance is non-existent--If you like living at your job this place is for you Career opportunities--non-existent--promote from outside not within especially considering... Diversity--If you are a person of the non-white persuasion, management (or promotion) is not for you.

Doing something good for the environment, converting municipal waste to energy. Good track record of providing competitive benefits and pay. Several new waste-to-energy projects in the planning stages.

Cons

Since being taken over by Waste Management, forced to concentrate on cutting costs. Takes a long time to fill open jobs, still a good opportunity if you don't mind working some overtime.
