I love that you get to travel and meet new people. Coworkers are great.

Pros

If you love to travel and have new experiences then this would be a part time job. If you have a problem the company is there for you. This is a world wide organization. We travel in a company vehicle to where we need to inventory. Mostly just does day jobs but there is some overnight or twt to three day stays. Company pays for, hotel, you get travel pay and per diem.

Cons

The hours are the hardest. Most times we leave anywhere from 3 to 5 am and get back anywhere from 8 to 16 hours later. Sometimes we leave at 4 to 7 pm and don't get back till 2 to 6am.You must have transportation to and from local office!!! This is not a good job for someone with young children. The hours are crazy. You may get in from a job and have to leave in a few hours for another one. This john had a specific start time but there are many variables that go into when the job is done.

Pros

Really easy job as long as you are a good counter then you keep your job. The company van provides us a ride to work so you don't actually drive to the different stores yourself. depending on where the store is you'll be paid travel time after the 1st hour of the trip.

Cons

Work fast & accurately or supervisors will have to get on you about it especially if it happens a lot. The constant moving, bending, twisting, lifting will cause problems to your knees & back. Invest in a 1" thick kneeling pad & a back brace. Do NOT hurt yourself to provide accuracy for them, remember to look out for yourself because they will not. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR HOURS! They will skim a little off for their benefit UNLESS you call them out. The federal, state, Medicare, &whatever other taxes coming out of your weekly check is unusually high for this company

We do our best to train all Inventory associates so they have the building blocks to become fast and accurate counters. Our intranet provides a tremendous amount of video learning tools so employees can enhance their skills. As with most employers, we work with our employees to provide optimal hours based upon their skill level. WIS abides by every wage and hour law and makes every effort to pay for all hours worked. WIS even instituted a program that summarizes hours worked each week and submits this for the review of every employee. We take this step to ensure that each employee's pay is as accurate as possible.

Good Company pay is not the best though.

Pros

I was promoted through the ranks after starting as an inventory manager. Within a year I was an area manager and in another year a district manager. The work was almost 100 percent travel and it was tough to find a work/live balance. I did enjoy the people and the work was fast pace and interesting. I would certainly recommend the job to someone who does not have a family or is married. Nice people and room for advancement were the two best things.

Cons

I was required to travel almost every Monday through Friday. My territory included three states so it was always somewhere pretty far away from home. The budget for hotels is not very high either so you stay in alot of cheap motels. Travel, odd hours, pay is not the best for all the work you are asked to do.
