Pros

- Benefits are comparable to other KC based companies - Fun, exciting clients

Cons

- Long hours, overtime expected; no work/life balance - Lacks any kind of career path or career development - Management unable to say "no" to unreasonable client demands - Promotions based on "who" you know, instead of performance or capabilities of individual

Pros

Some of the positives to working at Catalyst include: 1) exciting and constantly changing field to be working in 2) great coworkers who are in the 20-40 year age group, outgoing and generally enjoy life 3) atmosphere is fun, Red Sox centered and active

Cons

Some of the negatives to working at Catalyst include: 1) management and supervisors are inexperienced and do not make well-thought out decisions 2) reviews for salary/promotion increases are often random and not based on work done, dedication, or other measurement factors. 3) lack of communication when a change in rank, policy or termination occurs often creates unneeded misconceptions

Pros

Leading edge technology and opportunities to work on some exciting applications and accounts. Great place to work out of college.

Cons

Long hours. Business model required head down focus on the "now" at the expense of employee development. It's a bad sign when weekly *rah rah* meetings have an overabundance of 'thank you" messages being given based on the number of hours put in by recipient.
