Pros
It's in an awesome location! Great for going out for doing interviews at other agencies. :) Because of its history, Y&R is still a recognizable name, but not a tier one agency by any means. I don't mind having it on my resume.
Cons
I have never met so many miserable people in my life. People there complain A LOT. They don't want to be there, but don't do anything about it, or can't. One woman complaining about her unambitious husband so she's stuck working there. Another girl complaining about the 2 hour commute each way to work, then bothering people for a place to stay because she has an early morning meeting. Where do they get these people?! People started complaining to me the first week I got there. Get rid of these losers. I don't want to work with them. They are bad for morale. It doesn't feel like an agency. There are parties, but only certain people are invited. I was there for less than a year, but I can tell you that I didn't say one work to 75% of the people there. I wanted out, and didn't make the effort. Neither did they. I am a very sociable person, and this I can tell you, says a lot. Thankfully, I was able to get what I wanted out of my Y&R situation, and move on quickly. I feel sorry for the people who are stuck there miserable. I feel sorry for Y&R to have these miserable people there. What created what? I don't even know. It's the people that make or break it for me. It's the complainers and losers that I wanted to get away from at Y&R.
