Pros

Independent thinking and able to work with little direction. Location of office is convenient to everywhere in city. Fellow Y&R employees are outgoing and friendly.

Cons

Salary is poor. Younger account people often have to train their higher-ups which leave some bitter. Job performance doesn't merit salary increase or bonus.

Pros

It is a good place to start your career and grow as a professional. I wanted to start a career in Marketing Research after things weren't working out with my previous employer. A full-service research firm in the US that is owned by WPP gave me that opportunity and it has been a rewarding experience thus far. Though the hours can be long during the "high tide" times of the year, overall the experience has been well worth it, and I would recommend anyone who wants to start a career in marketing research to apply to one of the companies owned by WPP.

Cons

Long hours, and could be stressful at times, but to be truthful you can say that about most business-type settings.

Pros

Paycheck of sorts, some decent lunch places in neighborhood. Good place to work if you like a challenge, or if you really don't care about loathing going to work in the morning. Most of the good people are gone, but there are a few good people left -- for now.

Cons

Lousy communication from management, agency desperate for any work, willing to work for almost nothing. There is no cachet to the brand anymore, it's become like working at a dollar store. No loyalty to employees whatsoever. HR dept is incompetent (not benefits, just other areas). Morale is a non-issue -- it doesn't exist. Agency probably won't exist for much longer.
